Journey

It's a long and winding road,
The night is dark and cold,
The wind chills me to the bone,
But I continue, walking alone.

The purpose of this journey, I no longer try to surmise,
The road is long, winding and precise,
The solitude is comforting no more,
But I continue,walking alone.

The mind wonders, the heart hopes,
If the journey can't be made less morose,
If only there were someone to walk along,
To hold,support and caress me,
My soul yearns for one of its own,
But I continue,walking alone.

Do others share a fate, similar to mine,
On the same road, fated or destined,
I hope,I pray,I cry for them,
May they find someone, even if I can't,
Tis' not a journey to be taken alone,
But I continue to walk alone.

It's all in the mind...when you choose not to feel lonely your mind will never let you.
